Roanoke school board chair endorsed for judgeship

The Roanoke Bar Association has endorsed Roanoke school board chairman David B. Carson for one of two Roanoke Valley circuit court judgeships to be vacated this year. Carson is a defense litigator with Johnson Ayers & Matthews. He is a member of the Boyd-Graves Conference and a former member of the Ted Dalton Inn of Court. He currently serves on a Virginia State Bar disciplinary committee.

The RBA endorsed Frank W. Rogers III for the other forthcoming circuit court vacancy. Rogers has served in leadership positions with the Virginia Trial Lawyers Association, the Virginia Bar Association and the VSB. He practices family law with Mundy Rogers & Associates.

For an upcoming juvenile and domestic relations court vacancy, the RBA endorsed family lawyer Leisa K. Ciaffone of Salem, former president of the Salem/Roanoke County Bar Association. Ciaffone and Rogers both are on the board of governors of the VSB Family Law Section.
