VSB Disciplinary Actions

On April 9, the Virginia State Bar Seventh District subcommittee issued a public reprimand to Phillip S. Griffin II of Winchester for violating a professional rule that governs communication with persons represented by counsel.  This discipline was an agreed disposition of misconduct charges against Griffin, according to the VSB.

Effective April 24, the VSB Disciplinary Board suspended the license to practice law of James H. Allamong Jr. of Woodstock on impairment grounds.

On April 25, the VSB Disciplinary Board revoked the license to practice law of Marcus N. Perdue III of Covington for failing to comply with requirements imposed on him by the board’s one-year suspension order issued Aug. 23, 2013.

On May 1, the VSB First District subcommittee issued a public reprimand to Richard S. Gordon of Newport News for violating professional rules that govern diligence, fairness to opposing party and counsel, and bar admission and disciplinary matters. This discipline was an agreed disposition of misconduct charges against Gordon, according to the VSB.
