Effective Sept. 15, a three-judge Richmond Circuit Court panel suspended the law license of Kenneth W. Paciocco of Richmond for three years for violating professional rules that govern communication, safekeeping property and misconduct.

On Sept. 23, the Virginia State Bar Disciplinary Board suspended the law license of William V. Riggenbach of Ashland for five months, with terms, for violating professional rules that govern competence, diligence, safekeeping property, declining or terminating representation, responsibilities of partners and supervisory lawyers, responsibilities regarding nonlawyer assistants, and unauthorized practice of law; multijurisdictional practice of law. The board dismissed two cases. This discipline was an agreed disposition of misconduct charges against Riggenbach, according to the VSB.

On Sept. 26, the Disciplinary Board suspended the law license of Angela M. Hensley of Culpeper for two years based on her conviction of a felony in Culpeper County Circuit Court. Her license had been summarily suspended on Sept. 5.

On Sept. 26, the VSB Fifth District Section I subcommittee issued a public admonition to Juan Chardiet of McLean for violating professional rules that govern communication and declining or terminating representation.

Effective Oct. 3, the Disciplinary Board summarily suspended the law license of Darrin W. MacKinnon of Bristow, based on his indefinite suspension by the Office of the Judge Advocate General of the Department of the Navy. MacKinnon was ordered to appear before the Disciplinary Board on Oct. 24 to show cause why the discipline imposed by the Navy should not be imposed in Virginia.
