Plaintiff, a 49-year-old woman, was driving southbound on I-81 for work when the defendant’s decedent left the northbound lanes of I-81, crossed the median, entered the southbound lanes, and collided head-on with the plaintiff’s vehicle. Decedent, a beloved schoolteacher in the community, died upon impact.
The plaintiff was airlifted to Bristol Regional Medical Center where she remained for six days. She attended more than 100 physician appointments, had more than 50 diagnostic procedures, attended more than 100 therapy sessions, and underwent three surgeries related to her fractured clavicle.
Liberty Mutual was also the workers’ compensation carrier, which agreed to waive subrogation. Amicus Visual Solutions prepared illustrations and animation. Synergy Medicare Set Aside Services prepared the MSA. Ron Feinman at One World Structured Settlement Design, LLC handled the structured portion of the settlement.
