Ex-governor’s law license suspended

The Virginia State Bar Disciplinary Board announced today that effective Jan. 29,  it has summarily suspended the law license of former Gov. Robert Francis McDonnell, pursuant to his conviction for 11 felonies in Richmond U.S. District Court.

McDonnell has been ordered to appear before the board on Feb. 20, 2015, to show cause why his license should not be further suspended or revoked. His license has been administratively suspended for non-payment of Virginia State Bar dues since October 15, 2014.
