Snow closes many courts

The Supreme Court of Virginia has posted a list of court closures on its web page.

The two-column list covers more than two pages.

The court also advises: “Due to inclement weather, the Richmond offices of the Supreme Court of Virginia will be closed on Tuesday, February 17, 2015.”

All divisional offices of the Western District federal courts are closed Tuesday due to inclement weather, according to the district’s website.

For the Eastern District, the Richmond Division is closed and federal courthouses are closed in Alexandria, Norfolk and Newport News, according to the district’s website.

Bankruptcy courts are closed Tuesday in both the Eastern and Western Districts, according to their websites.

The Virginia State Bar offices are closed Tuesday due to inclement weather.
