Man suffered concussion in head-on collision – $1.4 Million Settlement

Mr. Dantzler was a front-seat passenger in his girlfriend’s car when they were struck head-on by a work van operated by operated by Gordon on Layfayette Blvd. in Norfolk. Dantzler was unconscious at the scene, transported to Sentara Norfolk General and diagnosed with multiple injuries, including a concussion with an MRI reporting axonal shearing.

He was hospitalized for eight days and recuperated at home for the orthopedic injuries.

He continued to experience sequela of the concussion for months and was precluded from employment as a grocery clerk, which he had done before the accident, until allowed to begin performing limited duty work in the spring of 2018.
