The Virginia State Bar is having an annual meeting this year, but only some of it will be in person at Virginia Beach.
The 82nd Annual Meeting of the VSB will be hosted in a hybrid format, the bar says.
Business meetings and the awards ceremony will be live and in person at the beach, by invitation only. Continuing Legal Education sessions will be hosted virtually.
Registration is open now with a “low fee of $95.” The fee covers all the VSB-sponsored CLE programs on Monday and Tuesday, June 14-15. The sessions run from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. each day.
“You can earn a full year’s worth of CLE in one event,” the VSB said in an announcement. That’s 12 hours of CLE with 9.0 live hours and 3.0 on-demand hours to be viewed later, including 2.0 ethics hours.
The VSB cancelled the 2020 annual meeting in the face of the pandemic, the first time the VSB missed its traditional start-of-summer gathering since World War II.
Updated April 23 to correct the CLE date information.
