The Supreme Court of Virginia will conduct a remote admission ceremony on Dec. 8 for newly licensed attorneys to be admitted to practice law in Virginia courts, per an Oct. 15 press release from the court.
The ceremony will be live-streamed at 2 p.m. on Dec. 8 and will be publically accessible on the court’s website via a hyperlink titled “December 2021 Admission Ceremony.”
Newly licensed attorneys seeking to be admitted to the Virginia State Bar at the December ceremony must register online at the “For Legal Community” tab on the Supreme Court of Virginia’s website. The deadline to register for the ceremony is 9 a.m. on Dec. 8.
Newly licensed attorneys who do not register for the admission ceremony on time will be unable to be admitted to the Virginia State Bar during the Dec. 8 ceremony.
The Supreme Court of Virginia’s release also asks attorneys seeking admission to the bar at the ceremony to join the live-stream on time and to “continue [their] participation until adjournment.”
