Description of case: Plaintiffs were in a vehicle exiting Interstate 64 West onto Magruder Boulevard in the left lane of the off-ramp. Defendant Pearson, operating a Checker Cab, attempted to switch from the right to left lane and struck the passenger rear quarter panel of the vehicle in which plaintiffs were traveling, causing the vehicle to flip several times. Plaintiff Lisa Gaidowski was the most seriously injured and suffered a mild traumatic brain injury, right shoulder injury, back injury and left hip injury. Sadly, Jamie Aldrich passed away for reasons unrelated to the motor vehicle accident in 2019. This settlement was a compromise based on the remaining available coverage.
