Effective May 31, 2022, the Tenth District Subcommittee of the Virginia State Bar issued a public reprimand with terms to Wade Morgan McNichols of Christiansburg for violating the professional rules governing diligence, communication and safekeeping property. This was an agreed disposition of misconduct charges, according to the VSB.

Effective June 9, 2022, pursuant to Virginia Rule of Professional Conduct 8.5(b), the Virginia State Bar Fourth District, Section II Subcommittee issued a public reprimand without terms to Jason Andrew Carey of Washington, D.C. for violating the District of Columbia’s professional rule that governs respect for rights of third persons and the Virginia professional rule governing reporting misconduct. This was an agreed disposition of misconduct charges, according to the VSB.

Effective June 8, 2022, the Fourth District, Section I Subcommittee of the Virginia State Bar issued a public reprimand without terms to Jesus Diokno Salang of Alexandria for violating the professional rules governing meritorious claims and contentions and misconduct. This was an agreed disposition of misconduct charges, according to the VSB.

Effective June 8, 2022, the Seventh District Subcommittee of the Virginia State Bar issued a public reprimand with terms to Aaron Michael Burgin of Woodstock for violating the professional rules governing fairness to opposing party and counsel, respect for the rights of third persons and misconduct. This was an agreed disposition of misconduct charges, according to the VSB.

By order entered June 16, 2022 and effective June 3, 2022, the Virginia State Bar Disciplinary Board suspended the law license of Rachael Alexandra Schmid Moshman of Washington, D.C. for a period of seven months with 30 days of that suspension stayed in favor of a one-year period of probation. This was an agreed reciprocal disposition of misconduct charges based upon Moshman’s suspension of the same term in the District of Columbia.
