Effective Sept. 6, 2022, the Fifth District, Section II Subcommittee of the Virginia State Bar issued a public reprimand without terms to Janet A. Smith of Annandale for violating professional rules that govern communication and bar admission and disciplinary matters. This was an agreed disposition of misconduct charges, according to the VSB.

By order entered and effective Sept. 12, 2022, the Virginia State Bar Dis- ciplinary Board indefi nitely suspended Brian Jeffrey Rosenberg of Potomac, Maryland’s license to practice law in the commonwealth of Virginia based on his indefi nite suspension by the Court of Appeals of Maryland on Aug. 10, 2022. Rosenberg may apply for reinstatement after 90 days, with proof of reinstatement in Maryland before he is admitted in Virginia. This was an agreed disposition of misconduct charges, according to the VSB.

On Sept. 16, 2022, the Virginia State Bar Disciplinary Board suspended Paul Andrew Murphy of Falls Church’s license to practice law on impairment grounds.
