VSB Disciplinary Actions: May 29, 2023, issue

Ordered May 17, 2023 and effective June 22, 2023, the Virginia State Bar Disciplinary Board suspended Charles Gregory Phillips of Salem’s license to practice law in the commonwealth of Virginia for one year with terms for violating professional rules that govern safekeeping property in VSB Docket No. 23-080-127641 to run concurrently with a five-year suspension for violating the terms of a previous suspension with terms issued by the Roanoke County Circuit Court on March 5, 2018. This was an agreed disposition of misconduct charges.

Effective May 19, 2023, the Virginia State Bar Disciplinary Board suspended Dennis Eugene Pryba of Falls Church’s license to practice law in the commonwealth of Virginia for five years for violating professional rules that govern diligence, communication, declining or terminating representation and bar admission and disciplinary matters.

Effective May 10, 2023, the Alexandria Circuit Court revoked Alfred Lincoln Robertson Jr. of Springfield’s license to practice law in the commonwealth for violating professional rules that govern competence, diligence, communication, scope of representation, conflict of interest: general rule, declining or terminating representation, bar admission and disciplinary matters and misconduct.

Effective May 19, 2023, the Virginia State Bar Disciplinary Board suspended John Vena II of Arlington’s privilege to practice law in the commonwealth for five years for violating professional rules that govern the unauthorized practice of law and misconduct.
