VSB to assess candidates for appeals court vacancy

Listen to this articleSen. R. Creigh Deeds, D-SD25, has asked the Virginia State Bar to evaluate candidates for a vacancy on the Court of Appeals of Virginia.
Deeds, who is co-chair of the Judiciary Committee of the Senate of Virginia, made the request due to the pending retirement of Judge Robert J. Humphreys.
Those who are interested in being evaluated by the VSB must submit a résumé, a brief writing sample and responses to a questionnaire on or before 4:00 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 20, 2023.
Application materials should be sent by email to [email protected]. Submissions should be sent as a Word document, but your writing sample may be submitted in either PDF or Word format.
Interviews will be conducted by the individual committee members.
