810 pass July 2015 bar exam

A total of 810 applicants passed the July 2015 Virginia bar examination, according to the Virginia Board of Bar Examiners.
The overall pass rate was 71.05 percent, which is up from last year’s drop to 68 percent.
There were 1,143 applicants who sat for the July exam. Fifty-seven bar passers have outstanding requirements and have not yet been licensed.

The newly minted lawyers will be admitted before a special session of the Supreme Court of Virginia on Dec. 9, 2015. The ceremony, arranged by the Virginia State Bar’s Young Lawyers Conference, will take place at the Greater Richmond Convention Center.
The next bar exam will be held on Feb. 23-24, 2016, in Norfolk.
