On July 30, the Supreme Court of Virginia affirmed a public admonition with terms issued to Craig E. Baumann of Alexandria by the Virginia State Bar Fifth District Committee, Section I. On Jan. 11, 2019, the committee issued a public admonition with terms to Baumann for violating professional rules that govern scope of representation, communication and fees. Baumann appealed to the VSB Disciplinary Board, which affirmed the decision on Oct. 9. Baumann then appealed to the Supreme Court, which affirmed the board’s decision.

By order entered Aug. 19, effective Aug. 28, the Virginia State Bar Disciplinary Board suspended, with terms, the license of Anna Hughes Myers of Norfolk for a period of two years for violating professional rules that govern diligence, conflict of interest, safekeeping property, declining or terminating representation, truthfulness in statements to others and misconduct. This action was an agreed disposition of misconduct charges against Myers, according to the VSB.

By order entered Aug. 28, the VSB Disciplinary Board suspended the license of Jin-Ho Cynn of Annandale for 90 days, with terms, for violating professional rules that govern candor toward the tribunal, unauthorized practice of law and misconduct.
