Daniel P. Goode

Retired Virginia Beach and Chesapeake attorney Daniel Paul “Danny” Goode died Sept. 23. He was 67.
Mr. Goode graduated summa cum laude from Old Dominion University. After earning his bachelor’s degree, he worked for a short time as a fraud investigator in Chesapeake. He graduated summa cum laude again from the Hamline University law school in Minnesota.
Mr. Goode went on to serve as city attorney for Virginia Beach and Chesapeake until he retired in May 2016.
Mr. Goode was a talented drummer and performed in a band with his brother and best friend.
Survivors include his wife, Judy; a daughter, Jessica; a brother and a sister.
