Years in practice: 29
Best known for: Passionate dedicated advocacy with one goal in mind: full, fair justice for my clients. I strive to be transparent, hard-working and diligent.
Why I chose my practice area: I believe in standing between power and the powerless. Maritime injury law is one of the last frontiers where David goes toe-to-toe with Goliath — where a lone worker can challenge billion-dollar corporations and demand justice.
Most memorable case: Representing a deckhand knocked off a barge 20+ feet onto concrete; an engineer with crushed legs from faulty procedures; a seaman struck by falling objects; a deckhand who suffered TBI from internal stair fall.
What makes me a leader in my field: My unwavering advocacy for clients despite factual or legal challenges — grinding forward into the wind for full justice.
Bar involvement/leadership roles: Member of AAJ and VTLA, VTLA Board of Governors for a decade. I teach civil trial seminars and CLEs annually while mentoring younger attorneys.
