Signature case, deal or transaction:

I structured, negotiated, and drafted contract for a 1031 tax-deferred exchange of a $70 million multifamily and retail building, structured the partnership agreement for its acquisition, and negotiated the financing for the project.

Working with clients:

All deals have a natural life span within which the deal must be consummated or lost. On transactional matters, my approach has always been to give the client good legal advice and get the deal done for the client as soon as reasonably possible while protecting the client from the pitfalls of the deal.

Outlook for 2022:

Clients, including larger national clients, have become very cost-conscious over the last decade and are seeking concise documentation and more affordable representation for their deals. As inflationary pressures continue to build in the economy, clients will continue to demand even greater efficiency from their legal counsel.
