Virginia stakeholders hope new bar exam brings back test-takers
Virginia will implement the NextGen UBE in 2028 to address declining bar exam participation among law graduates, improving score portability and exam relevance.
July bar exam pass rate nearly 80%
Nearly 80% of candidates passed the July 2025 Virginia Bar Exam, the highest rate since 2008. U.Va. Law led with a 95% pass rate among test takers.
Virginia February bar exam pass rate over 61%
