As one of Virginia’s top employment lawyers, Elaine Charlson Bredehoft has been successfully representing plaintiffs in state and federal courts for the past 38 years.

A native of Northern Minnesota, Bredehoft holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Arizona and a law degree from The Catholic University of America Columbus School of Law.

Bredehoft is a fellow in the American College of Trial Lawyers, the International Academy of Trial Lawyers, and the Litigation Counsel of America. She is a frequent lecturer at continuing education seminars for a variety of professional organizations and has authored numerous articles and chapters in legal and scholarly publications.

While Bredehoft has won millions of dollars in judgments and damages for her clients over the years, her extensive trial experience and courtroom expertise have led to most of her cases settling before trial. She most recently represented actress Amber Heard in a defamation case against Heard’s ex-husband, Johnny Depp.
