VSB Disciplinary Actions: Sept. 29 issue

Effective Sept. 17, the Virginia State Bar Disciplinary Board revoked James Spero Panagis Jr. of Virginia Beach’s license to practice law in the Commonwealth of Virginia based on his affidavit consenting to the revocation. By tendering his consent to revocation at a time when a disciplinary complaint, investigation or proceeding was pending, Panagis acknowledged that the material facts upon which the disciplinary complaint, investigation or proceeding are predicated are true, and if the disciplinary proceedings based on the alleged conduct were brought or prosecuted to a conclusion, he could not successfully defend them.
