Go To Lawyers: W. Everett Lupton
Personal Injury Attorney, Slaughter & Lupton, Virginia Beach
Virginia Lawyers Weekly//October 22, 2025//
Years in practice: 24
Best known for: Strength of character, analyzing unique legal issues, and helping other lawyers.
Why I chose my practice area: I enjoy helping seriously injured people. When someone loses the ability to work while facing medical expenses, mortgage payments don’t stop. It feels good to help them.
Most memorable case: A contested liability case where my client, hit crossing the street at night, suffered life-changing injuries including double above-knee amputation. Obtaining significant recovery was very satisfying.
What makes me a leader in my field: More than 20 years of trial experience representing thousands of injured plaintiffs, including 100+ jury trials and numerous six- and seven-figure recoveries.
Bar involvement/leadership roles: VTLA member, NCAJ member, Virginia Beach Bar Association member
