Lisa Bertini has never been afraid to take on the big corporate giants and stand up for individuals, regardless of the backlash.
Bertini earned her law degree from William & Mary Law School in 1987 and started her career on the defense side, representing employers and companies in employment litigation. About 20 years ago, she opened her own firm and began specializing in plaintiff work.
A certified arbitrator and assistant treasurer of the Virginia State Bar Labor and Employment Section, Bertini dedicates her practice to ensuring employees are treated in a nondiscriminatory manner in the workplace with regard to race, gender, disability, religion, national origin and sexual orientation.
Bertini is past chair of The Holocaust Commission of Tidewater, which helps promote an understanding of the uniqueness and magnitude of the Holocaust. She also serves on the personnel committee at Ohef Sholom Temple.
